Marriage and Family Therapist Intern
What I love most about what I do is the opportunity to walk alongside my clients as they discover their strength and resilience. It’s incredibly rewarding to witness their growth, especially when they begin to realize their potential and take ownership of their future. The process of helping them navigate life’s challenges, both big and small, and seeing them reach milestones—whether it’s personal growth or achieving concrete goals—reminds me of the profound impact therapy can have.
The biggest misconception about mental health is the idea that people who seek help are broken. In reality, mental health struggles are part of being human, and they don’t define one’s worth. Our work is complicated and ever-changing, so seeking assistance to navigate life’s challenges, learn, and grow along the way is a sign of strength, not weakness. It’s about discovering our strength within, understanding ourselves more deeply, and finding ways to deal, heal, and move forward.
In my therapy room, I create a safe space for open exchanges and ensure everyone feels heard. I guide you through challenges, offering alternative coping mechanisms through therapeutic counseling. We can also explore practices like mindfulness and utilize regular mood checks to track progress.
The willingness to share, even when uncomfortable, is what I value most. Respect for everyone’s thoughts and feelings is paramount.
Plant, Water, Tend, Grow—a reminder that growth takes time, care, and patience. Like a garden, life requires more than just time and space. It asks for attention sometime gently, sometimes with intention, and sometimes fiercely focused.
My role is to walk alongside you, providing a safe space for growth and discovery.
My role in the therapy process is to walk alongside my clients, offering guidance, support, and a safe space for exploration and growth. I aim to empower individuals to discover their inner strength and resilience, helping them navigate life’s challenges with clarity and confidence.
Maintaining mental health is not about always being happy, it’s about having the resilience to face life’s challenges with strength and balance.
Mental health is the ability to handle life’s challenges while maintaining a sense of self and well-being. It is not about perfection or constant happiness but about having the tools to cope with difficulties, nurture relationships, and grow through adversity. It requires resilience and balance.
If you work with me, you’ll know I’ll meet you exactly where you are—no judgment, no pretense. You are the authority on your life, and I offer a mix of empathy and suggestions for you to evaluate, deciding what to try. We’ll take things one step at a time, and I’ll challenge you to discover the strength and resilience you may not realize you have. For me, this work isn’t just a job—it’s a calling built on compassion, curiosity, and deep respect for your journey.
Working with me means having someone in your corner who genuinely cares about you and your life. I believe in creating a space where you can be your authentic self—messy, complicated, and real. I’ll not only offer acceptance but also encourage you to lean into the discomfort of change. We’ll celebrate your progress, no matter how small, and navigate any difficult passageways in your journey with patience and persistence, always focusing on what matters most to you.
